Jaw Appliance-Update

This has been removed by the dentist 12/13/10 after two times having to replace it. Due to the fact we fill that the Ortho does not want to deal with Andrew and his gag reflexes he removed this and says we will wait until he is 12 or 14 to try again. We will be seeking another opinion since he made us feel like it had to be done or we break his jaw. We are no just waiting to see if we will get any of the $1000 we paid up front back.

So guess you could say we are two for two on dentist that do not wish to treat Andrew after having break down trying to get in his mouth and/or tossing cookies in more then one office.

Andrew's Jaw Appliance

The palatal expander "expands" (widens) your upper jaw by putting gentle pressure on your upper molars each time an adjustment is made. Your orthodontist will instruct you about when and how to adjust your expander. When you achieve the desired expansion, you will wear the appliance for several months to solidify the expansion and to prevent regression.

Andrew had one of these put in his mouth yesterday and we all are having a hard time adjusting to it. Causing him a lot of pain and discomfort at the current time. We have to make adjustments twice a day to it spreading out his upper jaw. Sounds like he will be getting spacers in the bottom as well. We would wear it for him if we could. He has to do it this way or we go in and break his jaw and wire together until it spaces out. He talks funny for the time being but they have assured us that will go away over time. He is having trouble chewing and eating food due to it getting stuck her his wind up box. Other then that over time should get better they told us but they also told us there would be no pain either and they were not home with him last night or this morning. We go back on the the 8th for bottom part of this "appliance" and to check everything...

For those that know our little princess/devil child you know she loves, loves to play dress up and then pose. So this was our 6th outfit change Sunday night. What you don't see are her pink stockings with her Bell high heel shoes. So guess you have a cowgirl/rodeo princess/20's girl if I was to piece it all together :) Anyone wanting to get rid of or have some to give away she loves dress up clothes, shoes, hats etc...

2010 Football Ends

The Cowboys football is officially over. They ended the season in fifth place! They opted not to play in the play offs this year. Drew and I packed his football stuff up yesterday with a sad face :( We are very proud of the boys and extremely proud of Drew! Can't wait til next year now focus on baseball!

Football 2010

Well after a heartbreaking loose but a VERY hard fight against last years champions on Monday night our little Cowboys won their last game last night 37-2 and ended the 2010 season 8-2.

We are still trying to decide if they will play in playoffs next week will keep you posted.

Andrew had a great game and if you see him might ask him about #55 in last nights game from the other team! Let's just say Dad and Mom were screaming as they were heading onto the field to help Andrew along with his coach...

WAY TO GO COWBOYS we are very, very proud of you!!

Well our little Cowboys did it again, 50-0 last night was the final score. Andrew was up against the biggest boy in the league at 167 lbs and he was pushing him back to the endzone each time!!

They are now 7 and 1. They play again Monday and Thursday with the following week a week long playoffs! We need luck for Monday night they are the top team and we have faith our boys can do it but we can still use the prayers.

Cowboys Football Update

After a heartbreaking shut out defeat last week our little Cowboys bounced back and won last night.we were all so proud and the boys and they were bouncing off the wall. As of right now there are no undefeated in teams in this division so we are basically tied with a couple other teams..WAY TO GO COWBOYS!! Beat them Thursday!!

Ok so we just had an earthquake here. Floor shook and stuff vibrated around and stuff fell off! They have felt it clear in Norman and Ada and so forth. Thougth someone hit the building!

Fall Baseball Over!

Well the OK Cowboys fall baseball was officially over last night at 5:45. They ended the season 6-1-1. They won both games yesterday.

Andrew hit an in field home run that rolled clear to the back fence and then pitched a totally awesome ending in the last game. We are very proud of him for playing fall baseball and football.

Now ":Rocket" turns to "Biggin" and focuses on football till November. His next game is Tuesday the 12th at 7:30 and they will try to remain undefeated!!

Well the OK Cowboys are back in Edmond tonight to try to hold on to and increase their 3-0 title...

Defiantly football weather.Will work when get free time, haha, to get pictures from the last couple games on here..I have decided that trying to take photos of boys playing football is for the professionals, almost all of mine are blurred but you will get the drift of them.

Andrew loves defense and does not care for offense but he is playing both since he is the biggest boy out there. Think we have found his other sport!!

**Update on the Rainbow Puppies (Maddie's soccer team) they get a break this week and then have a game next Tuesday and next Saturday which will be there last game. They have now beat their rival the Purple Cheetahs, twice in a row and will play them their last game. Last Saturday when they beat them they won 8-4 6 of those 8 goals were Maddie's and then 2 of the other teams we scored for them. We have found her sport as well!!

Well the Oklahoma Cowboys are 1-0-1 after today's double header. First game they tied and second game they win 11-8. Andrew pitched last half of first game like a Rocket! His hitting was a walk, got hit by ball and took base, a TRIPLE and a walk. He did great!

We got this today from Andrew's football coach. He and I and hopefully Dad will make it too. Need to find sitter for sister now 

Parents,

Coach Gundy and OSU football have invited the team to come watch the OSU scrimmage on Saturday evening inside Boone Pickens Stadium. It will be a very small crowd, allowing the boys to get down low where they can see things up close, hear the pads popping, etc.

There will be only one entrance open to get inside the stadium tomorrow. That is gate 15, which is on the west endzone side of the stadium. The team should meet outside that gate at 5:20, and go in as a group.

Parents are welcome to attend also. The one request OSU football has is that no cellphones or cameras be in use inside the stadium. It is very important that everyone in our group honor this simple request.
