Well latest count is up to 8 baby goats that is 4 sets of twins (yeah for me and my math skills today).....We had a set of twins born sometime early this morning..The kiddos got to go out and see them last night we did not mess with them just looked Andrew is ready to pet and love on them..Maddie is not so sure what is going on except that she sees babies and wants to just stare and stay in the barn with them..
Guess we will see later tonight what the count is when we all get home..

We have babies..
Well the official 2007 kidding of our goat herd has started today. Just got a message from Paul and we are up to 6 babies so far. We have about 20 some nannies and might be a couple or so that did not bred. So if you have heard anything about goats they kinda multiply like rabbits once they get started..We will have pictures soon...We are very very thankful that it is not freezing this week..Wish us luck..
I will also have pictures from the kiddos from Saturday when we got to see and visit with Uncle Jon, Aunt Randi, Kaitlyn and Dylan..We had a nice lunch (thanks mom) and a great visit..As well as pictures of my two kiddos from yesterday..

The Dynamic Duo
These two have been close since the day that Hannah was born and still going strong today..
A Visitor
A couple of weekends ago when Granma, Granpa and Austyn were here visiting we had this visitor at the end of the driveway. The kiddos and everyone watched him walk around the house and disappear into the trees. Too bad dad was not home to see him...The really are camouflaged this time of the year.

Happy Valentines Day !!

Andrew at Stillwater Fire Dept. photo shoot...
Andrew was chosen to appear in a poster for Oklahoma State University Fire Protection Publications (where Mommy and Granma Moffat work) so we went yesterday to do the photo shoot and Stillwater Fire Dept Headquarters. He will be featured on an 8 foot poster as the future of firefighting that we take with us all over the world to trade shows to sell and promote our books. He was very nervous but after some surprises (bribes as Granpa calls them) he did great and found a smile. He was excited to get to wear daddy's fire fighting gear too. And just as they started the shoot, the alarm went off and truck behind him went on a run....He was telling them about his daddy the policeman and his Uncle Chris who is a fireman and his ladder truck that we got to get on when we visited Uncle Chris... He got a really neat fire hat and some REAL leather firefighting gloves out of the deal, he says he will use them to help daddy do chores...we got some good photos and this might be the best one...I took some with my camera as well and will get them on line pretty soon.

First weekend w/o Daddy :(
Well this was our first weekend without daddy being home Saturday and Sunday. Paul has started a new shift for the rest of year. He is off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and works the other 4 days. It was strange not having him there with us. Both kids would forget and want to know where daddy was. Maddie would go and look for him and then ask where Daddy at and then reassure us that "he be back" probably a 100 times or so. Andrew would want to know where Daddy was and then also forget he was at work and then ask if he was duck hunting. He would then talk to Maddie in that sweet big brother voice and tell her that they would be okay when she looked for Daddy and that he would be home soon. It was too cute. I missed him too I like having that weekend for our family and that extra help with the kiddos and breaking up kicking, screaming, biting, pinching and throwing thing fights....But we will make it..And the kids will get used to this shift...Paul did not like working the weekends either he said things were very very dead and he thinks once the weather gets nicer that things will pick up...He said he missed us and feels that he is going to miss out on so much with us. He was worn out this week he worked 6 straight days before getting today, tomorrow and Wednesday off this week and if you all know
Paul he is busy these three days. He was off at 6:45 am this morning coyote and bobcat hunting with Jordan. And then the other next two days I was told they are going to Sooner to hunt duck and goose..This is the last week/weekend to hunt the water fowl..He loves this type of hunting...He is also getting the "noodling bug" very badly and ready to noodle this year, watch out John Ray be ready for phone calls and begging please to go out with him ;) Andrew has started sparking an interest in hunting to the point that he asked Paul this morning when he could go coyote hunting and what gun (he knows which guns are for what and by name) he was going to use to kill the coyotes. We are going to get him some camo and then Paul said he would take him out with him...Paul loves to see that interest in him his eyes just light up when they both talk about guns and hunting...Men :)
The kids and I went to Hannah's bday party on Saturday and we had a great time...Granpa Roy and Granma Joan let us ride over with them. The night before our microwave went out so Granpa Roy and I ran over to Walmart there in Cushing and got that taken care of. And they even helped me put it in. And let's just say that about 1 hour after we got home the new one got used, Andrew and his hot chocolate.. I will have pictures of the party as soon as the computer at home decides to start acting right...

My baby brother exciting news....
From my dad's website today: Exciting times.... Jake (my little brother) is in negotiations with Tough Records and Flatland Entertainment of Stillwater to do a new CD! He's excited and so are his mom and dad! Mrs. Moffat's baby boy reports he is to start pre production this week and hopefully by first of April, have it about 90% completed, so release date might end up being first of May, 07. He is going to try to work it in between his welding job, 12X7 a week, and getting married, and the weather... stay tuned, we are keeping our fingers crossed.If you'd like a preview, check out http://www.myspace.com/jakemoffatmusic for some of his music. For all those that need a laugh on my account and those that know that I might do something like this (ie, the wind generators and the dam stories). My friend Samantha at work sent this one out...
As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, & knocks on the door. The trucker lowers the window, & she says "Hi, my name is Heather & you're losing some of your load." The trucker ignores her & proceeds down the street.
When the truck stops for another red light, the girl catches up again. She jumps out of her car, runs up & knocks on the door. Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they've never spoken, the blonde says brightly, "Hi, my name is Heather, & you're losing some of your load!" Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again & continues down the street.
At the third red light, the same thing happens again. All out of breath, the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, knocks on the truck door. The trucker rolls down the window. Again she says "Hi, my name is Heather, & you're losing some of your load!" When the light turns green, the trucker revs up & races to the next light. When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the truck, & runs back to the blonde. He knocks on her window, & after she lowers it, he says...
"Hi, my name is Kevin. It's winter in Colorado & I'm Driving the SAND TRUCK!"

Okay I have gotten the hint that I need to update this a little better...But here is the deal...Mom does not have much time to sit down on the computer by herself at home without the help of "Tinkerbell" coming along and either talking to her Papa on the phone or typing and locking up the computer..And then the fact that I don't really get to sit down period is another thing when at home with them..But anyways..I have a break at work so thought I would write a little short update...
Our holidays were great..got to see all the family on both sides and eat and eat and eat...Happy late bday to my mom she turned the big 60 on the 31st of December and we had a party for her...My friend Tawni made her the most beautiful cake and we took lots of pictures and my family says the are the best cakes in the world...So needless to say she is hired to make Jake and Trish's wedding cake and the kids cakes from now on, now I guess I better tell her huh??? We had a good new years had mom's bday and then went to some of our friends house to ring in the new year. Hard to believe it is 2007 already..
Paul has been duck hunting for about the last month, we have eaten lots of good duck and he has really enjoyed hunting them even if it is freezing outside...He gets a new shift this week he will be working the weekends which he is not happy about but that is how the shift bids fell this year. Told him we would have parties in the evenings for him so he does not feel like he is being left out..he will have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off and he will still be working days...He enjoys coming home to all of us (even though he might gripe and complain about us driving him nuts) hehe :) He has even went goose hunting a couple of times...He is trying to decide right now if he will maybe be an assistant coach on Andrew's tball team. We are suppose to sign him up this month before too long. He is ready to play so much that at Walmart the other day we had to look at batting gloves and told him we would wait to see what color his team would be and he even wanted to buy a new bat (he has two already) We are not sure if we are playing softball this year we have not heard yet on if there will be a team or not..
Andrew is doing good he just got over strep last week and got the doctor to pretreat Madison so that they both will stay well..We have been in and out of the doctors office with Maddie with tonsillitis and sinus infections for about a month and so did not want her to get strep during the ice storm and be miserable. Andrew is enjoying this week due to the ice storm he has been out of school since Friday and been playing at daycare with his friends and his sister...he and Maddie are becoming the sister/brother nightmare at times...the fighting, biting, screaming, hitting, kicking and tattling has began even at the young age of 1 for her. She picks on him he picks back and she tattles when does it end??? My mom and dad would tell you that it never does just watch me and my brothers...
As for me I stay trucking along...Been busy with work since being out at Christmas time and finally got all that caught up..then heard that we might be in for more ice this weekend which would throw me back on my work as well...Oh well the life of a supermom, as Andrew calls me... Very hard for me to believe that Madison will be 2 this year...And Andrew will be 6..Time seems to just fly by anymore not sure I am real happy about that but will make the most of it...The goats are doing well they are all due about February, let's see 20 plus goats times 1 to 2 babies when they kid you do the math...And for those that know me I am serious when I say you do the math and give me the answer...We are also feeding out 4 pigs this year again for meat..We need to try to find us a cow or two for beef plus we would like to get our fence done and get some cattle to feed and take care of, we both miss that...We had a leak in the kids bathroom ceiling that Olivers came out and fixed all is good now I think..Things at work keep me busy busy...I will be doing some traveling this year for my job, looks like Broken Arrow, Enid, Massachusetts again and possibly North Carolina not real sure on that one...
We found out we are going to be an uncle and aunt again, Chris and Jen and Hannah are expecting in August this year and I know how she is going to feel threw the summer months with Andrew being a July baby...They are also trying to buy a house out by us...That would be great for the kiddos..
We have a kinda busy weekend if the weather will let us...Hannah will be turning the big 3 and have a bday party on Saturday in Cushing and then I figure that we might be having a party for my sister in law Tammy sometime as well she had her bday on Monday of this week...Plus this will be the first weekend with out Daddy home both days...Andrew has been asking him about it for a couple of weeks now..Will take some getting use to but we just keep telling the kids that he will be home that night after work...Gonna miss him..
