2010 Mrs Claus Camp

Stuff the kids made at Mrs Claus camp in town today! The ornament. Duck tape rose pens. Drew told me they had no OU stuff so the teachers made him one for my necklace :)

Andrew's Jaw Appliance

The palatal expander "expands" (widens) your upper jaw by putting gentle pressure on your upper molars each time an adjustment is made. Your orthodontist will instruct you about when and how to adjust your expander. When you achieve the desired expansion, you will wear the appliance for several months to solidify the expansion and to prevent regression.

Andrew had one of these put in his mouth yesterday and we all are having a hard time adjusting to it. Causing him a lot of pain and discomfort at the current time. We have to make adjustments twice a day to it spreading out his upper jaw. Sounds like he will be getting spacers in the bottom as well. We would wear it for him if we could. He has to do it this way or we go in and break his jaw and wire together until it spaces out. He talks funny for the time being but they have assured us that will go away over time. He is having trouble chewing and eating food due to it getting stuck her his wind up box. Other then that over time should get better they told us but they also told us there would be no pain either and they were not home with him last night or this morning. We go back on the the 8th for bottom part of this "appliance" and to check everything...

Boomer Sooner~Boomer Sooner! Enough said :) Great game!

We are a house divided! And nope not PBs pink hat, that would be mine :). GO SOONERS!

All done today only took couple hours to complete. And just a small portion of our decorated house. Lights done on deck. Decorations and more lights in living room, kids rooms, kitchen maybe our room too. Going to make sure Santa sees our house inside and out Maddie says!

Just some of the haul the boys got yesterday morning killed sixteen again! Quack Smacker strikes again :)

Andrews morning duck kill with dad and the general! He used his new pump shotgun a Remington 870 express that he got last night. He out shot dad and the general :) Quack Smacker number one he is!

Think you could do this? Maddie stretching before cheer the other night. She is clear up on her tippy toes when she does the bridge :)

6th Outfit Change!

For those that know our little princess/devil child you know she loves, loves to play dress up and then pose. So this was our 6th outfit change Sunday night. What you don't see are her pink stockings with her Bell high heel shoes. So guess you have a cowgirl/rodeo princess/20's girl if I was to piece it all together :) Anyone wanting to get rid of or have some to give away she loves dress up clothes, shoes, hats etc...

Enough said!

Drew passed his hunter ed class with a 100%. Great job buddy!

They Did Their Share

On Veteran’s Day we honor

Soldiers who protect our nation.

For their service as our warriors,

They deserve our admiration.

Some of them were drafted;

Some were volunteers;

For some it was just yesterday;

For some it’s been many years;

In the jungle or the desert,

On land or on the sea,

They did whatever was assigned

To produce a victory.

Some came back; some didn’t.

They defended us everywhere.

Some saw combat; some rode a desk;

All of them did their share.

No matter what the duty,

For low pay and little glory,

These soldiers gave up normal lives,

For duties mundane and gory.

Let every veteran be honored;

Don’t let politics get in the way.

Without them, freedom would have died;

What they did, we can’t repay.

We owe so much to them,

Who kept us safe from terror,

So when we see a uniform,

Let’s say "thank you" to every wearer.

2010 Football Ends

The Cowboys football is officially over. They ended the season in fifth place! They opted not to play in the play offs this year. Drew and I packed his football stuff up yesterday with a sad face :( We are very proud of the boys and extremely proud of Drew! Can't wait til next year now focus on baseball!
